Eid-il-Fitr 2025: Aare-Musulumi of Ifon-Orolu Kingdom Calls for Peace and Unity in Heartfelt Message to Muslim Ummah.

March 30th, 2025
Shawwal 1st 1446 AH
In a stirring and heartfelt Eid-il-Fitr message delivered on March 30, 2025, Aare Engr. Prince Alh. Isiaq Olajide Olarinde (FNSE), the Aare-Musulumi of Ifon-Orolu Kingdom, extended warm greetings to Muslim Ummah across the world and a powerful call for peace and unity to all residents of Ifon-Orolu Kingdom, Ilobu-Asake, and Erin-Osun and world at large. Marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan, the message emphasized gratitude, unity, and reconciliation as the kingdom celebrates Eid-il-Fitr on the 1st of Shawwal, 1446 AH.
Addressing all Muslim Ummah and his community with the traditional Islamic greeting, “Taqabbalallahu Minna Wa Minkum – May Allah accept from us and from you all,” Amiru-li-Mumeen expressed profound joy and submission to Allah (SWT) for the successful completion of Ramadan—a period defined by fasting, devotion, and spiritual renewal. Quoting Surah Al-Baqarah (2:185), he reminded believers of Allah’s mercy and the importance of gratitude, urging the faithful to celebrate Eid as a divine gift that strengthens their Taqwa (God-consciousness) and commitment to Islamic values such as compassion, forgiveness, and brotherhood.
The Aare-Musulumi extended his felicitations to key figures in the kingdom, including His Royal Majesty, Oba Peter Oluwole Ipadeola Ilufemiloye Akinyooye III, the Olufon of Ifon-Orolu Kingdom (Aremo Obatala of the Universe) and Permanent President of the Irepodun/Orolu Traditional Council, praying for his continued wisdom and long reign. He also commended the Grand Chief Imam, Sheikh Alh. Muheebulahi Abdulsalam Adesina III, for his steadfast leadership, alongside the league of Imams, Alfas, and members of the Orolu Muslim United Forum. “Eid Mubarak!” he declared, wishing every Muslim in the kingdom joy, peace, and divine favor.
A Call for Reflection and Reconciliation
Beyond the festivities, Aare-Musulumi message took a reflective tone as he addressed the longstanding communal conflicts that have marred relations between Ifon-Orolu Kingdom and its neighbors, Ilobu-Asake and Erin-Osun. Describing these disputes as a “heavy-hearted” burden, he lamented the loss of lives and property over the decades, emphasizing that such divisions contradict the Islamic principles of brotherhood and unity. Citing the Prophet Muhammad (SAW)—“The believers, in their mutual love, mercy, and compassion, are like one body”—he urged the communities to see themselves as one family, bound by faith, blood, and shared heritage.
Drawing from the Qur’an, including Surah Al-Hujurat (49:10) and Surah An-Nisa (4:1), the Amiru-li-Mumeen called for dialogue, forgiveness, and an end to violence. “Let us think first of our blood relations, our common ancestry, and the future we owe our children,” he implored, underscoring that peace benefits all while violence leaves only sorrow. As President of the Muslim community in Ifon-Orolu Kingdom, he passionately advocated for a new chapter of reconciliation, urging every son and daughter of the region to embrace mutual respect and cooperation.
A Vision for a Peaceful Future
Aare framed this Eid-il-Fitr as a “golden opportunity” to bury past grievances and build a harmonious future. Quoting Surah Ash-Sharh (94:6)—“Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease”—he expressed hope that the shared struggles of the region could give way to prosperity through collective effort. He called on every Muslim to act as an “ambassador of peace,” extending friendship and kindness to neighbors while praying for the souls lost to conflict, the healing of the wounded, and divine guidance for all.
In closing, the Aare-Musulumi beseeched Allah (SWT) to accept the fasts, prayers, and good deeds of Ramadan, showering blessings upon Ifon-Orolu Kingdom and making this Eid a turning point for unity and progress. “Taqabbal Allahu Minna Wa Minkum,” he reiterated, wishing all a blessed celebration.
His message made available stands as both a spiritual reflection and a rallying cry for peace in a region seeking healing and renewal. As the Muslim Ummah of Ifon-Orolu Kingdom joins the global celebration of Eid-il-Fitr, the Aare-Musulumi’s words resonate as a beacon of hope for a united and prosperous future.
